To support the post-Hurricane Katrina recovery process by providing teacher-to-teacher and classroom-to-classroom mentoring via web conferencing and other forms of long distance communication between teachers in the New Orleans public schools and teachers in schools in Washington state;
To provide curricular support, technology training and emotional encouragement for teachers impacted by Hurricane Katrina;
And to conduct community-based action research to determine how teacher-to-teacher mentoring via web conferencing and other forms of long distance communication can provide teacher professional development and retention.
